Pinot Noir Riserva Sanct Valentin St. Michael Eppan 2019

Pinot Noir has been grown in Alto Adige since 1850 and is also known locally as "Blauburgunder". It is the most important red wine of the Kellerei St. Michael Eppan winery and it has always been a challenge for every winemaker: it demands the soil, the climate and the cellar work. 

For Sanct Valentin Pinot Noir, only the best vineyards and the oldest plants are used on moraine and gravelly soils with a high limestone content. Minimal yields and meticulous care ensure an elegant and sensual wine, distinguished by its structure, balance and fine tannins.  After fermentation in stainless steel and malolactic fermentation, the wine ages in barrique-tonneaux for 1 year and then in concrete barrels for 10 months. It has extraordinary aging potential.
