Description
First produced in 1888, Biondi-Santi Riserva is the very first Brunello in history, and still today, at Tenuta Greppo, the historic Biondi-Santi estate, the announcement of a new Riserva remains an exceptional event. It is a rare and special wine, with extremely limited production. Traditionally, the grapes for the Riserva come from the estate’s oldest vineyards, over 25 years of age. With an intense ruby red color, the nose is complex, offering notes of dried rose, sweet spices, and red fruits preserved in alcohol. On the palate, it is full-bodied, smooth, and elegant, with a persistent finish featuring nuances of tobacco and mint. Biondi-Santi’s Brunello is a meditative wine, perfect for grand occasions, and ideal for pairing with refined red meat dishes and aged cheeses.
