Made from grapes sourced from the estate’s younger vines, after fermentation in concrete and aging in wood, Biondi-Santi’s Rosso di Montalcino shows an intense ruby red color. On the nose, it releases notes of ripe red fruit (cherries, plums, and blueberries) accompanied by hints of blue flowers, spices, and mint. On the palate, it is juicy, with present yet delicate tannins, characterized by a persistent finish of sour cherry, blood orange, and star anise notes.
