Originally from Calabria, Fusilli al Ferretto were once handmade by wrapping the pasta around a knitting needle. The recent addition to Rustichella d'Abruzzo's Regional Pasta Line is highly recommended paired with a sauce of artichoke and walnut cream, chicory and sausage pesto or Treviso radicchio and crispy speck.
Rustichella d'Abruzzo's family is celebrating 100 years since its first production, bringing Abruzzo's pasta to the world, following the ancient art of pasta making. Only Italian grains are used and since the pasta factory's founding, the pasta has been produced using bronze dies and slow, law-temperature drying to ensure the right texture, retain the sauce and ensure also a long cooking time. The pasta is exclusively handmade and special attention is paid to its paper bag packaging.
