Red Wines

Red wines are known for their structure, complexity, and aromatic intensity. They are generally served at room temperature or slightly chilled, depending on their body and aging. Among the most well-known varieties are Cabernet Sauvignon, robust and tannic, Merlot, softer and rounder, and Pinot Noir, elegant and delicate. In Italy, standout grapes include Nebbiolo, which gives rise to Barolo and Barbaresco, Sangiovese, the base of Chianti and Brunello di Montalcino, and Aglianico, typical of the South, which expresses great power and elegance in wines like Taurasi and Aglianico del Vulture.
